Also I’m not near either one of them right now or I’d consider doing a. #1. i use a 1982 mesa boogie mark 2b, 60 watt head, with an fx loop; i run the output of the iridium thru the MONO IR, directly into the return of the FX loop, bypassing the mesa preamp, using the mesa as a power amp only. Use this mode for tap tempo, or to momentarily engage Riverside’s boost or Cloudburst’s Infinite/Freeze. Iridium’s hybrid room reverb combines a 256 millisecond stereo impulse response with Strymon’s reverb tank algorithm for extended decay. Strymon’s Iridium is an amp and cab modeler with added room reverb, designed to deliver the sound of an amp through a cab in a room. W. Iridium has a headphone jack too. The only issue is there appears to be a slight roll-off of the high end, but it's only slight, and can be adjusted via either the EQ on the Iridium or my Boss GE7. 3) Strymon Iridium. I dont think of ToneX as being the same type of solution like the Iridium or IR-200 (which I preferred over the strymon). The compact Cloudburst sounds immense, but it can also do subtle.
